Proudly of Ngāti Whātua and Te Parawhau descent, Lyle is a Whangārei-raised solicitor.
After graduating from the University of Waikato in 2022 with a Double Major in Law and Psychology, Lyle began his legal career in the Waitangi Tribunal, where he represented the New Zealand Māori Council on a number of seminal Treaty issues, including the Treaty Principles Bill.
After a subsequent period practicing in both criminal defence and family law, Lyle refined his focus to specialise exclusively in this jurisdiction. He now specialises in Care of Children and Family Violence matters where he is a staunch advocate for access to justice and fair representation.
In his spare time, Lyle can be found powerlifting, reading philosophy or enjoying a golden Wellington sunset.
